Glider and Helicopter Project

The goal of this project was to construct a glider that could fly around a pole and a helicopter that can rise, hover, and descend.

Our group was the first to work on this project so we started by constructing several glider variations from the kits we had.

We put some weight on the top to see if it would fly with the motor on.


This is one of our first trial flights using the above model.

After several modifications, the glider achieved plenty of lift at the cost of thrust. Flaps were added to the end of the wings, and airfoils were taped across their tops.
