LibraryWorks
Information Services to the AgeWorks Students
LibraryWorks,
maintained by the Andrus Gerontology Library, is dedicated to the
information needs of the AgeWorks students. The Andrus Gerontology
Library, one of the special subject libraries in the USC Libraries
system, will help to facilitate access to USC information resources and
services. USC Libraries' collection contains a rich array of print and
electronic resources that are accessible to all USC members including
online students. As a distance learner and before starting your
course related work, please be sure that: 1) you have a USC email
account, 2) you are connected to USC network. If you have questions
regarding the initial computing set up, contact Fred Blalock for help.

Document Delivery
For
students enrolled in AgeWorks, the Gerontology Library provides
document delivery services for books and journal articles available in
USC libraries. Please make sure you read and understand the LibraryWorks Lending Policies before submitting a request. In order to expedite the service,
it's necessary to do an initial search to verify the availability of
the materials in USC Libraries. If you have any questions regarding the
process of document delivery services, call (213) 740 5990 or email Felicia Palsson.
Book Check Out
Request
The Gerontology Library will circulate books to distance learning students based on established Lending Policies for USC students. However, due to the nature of distance learning
we limit the number of items students may have "checked-out" to 10
items. Users may check their user status and renew items on-line
through HOMER.
Journal
Article Request
The
Gerontology Library will process up to 10 journal article requests per
student per semester. Please make sure to request articles early if
doing extensive research.
