Please briefly describe your position and your company:

I will be a post-doctoral fellow at American Heart Association-Pharmaceutical Roundtable (AHA-PRT) Outcomes Research Center with the Department of Department of Neurology at UCLA from 2009 to 2011.

Why did you choose to study gerontology at the USC Davis School?

I dreamed to study gerontology at one of the best gerontology schools in the world, after I got my master degree in demography from People’s University of China. The USC Davis School is world-renowned, and has the oldest gerontology program in the world. Getting a PhD here is my dream becoming true.

How did you learn about your current position?  Was it through an internship, a previous job, or a connection through USC?

I found the information through online searching.

Please briefly describe how the USC Davis School’s curriculum helped prepare you for your current position.

The interdisciplinary training at USC has been guiding me to analyze things from different perspectives with an eye toward the coherent integration of various disciplinary views.

What advice would you offer to a prospective student interested in studying gerontology at USC?

The USC Davis School is a place I call “ home”.  I enjoyed every learning opportunity I had not only from the multidisciplinary faculty but also from the incredible students. I would advise the prospective students to take good advantage of the rich resources and to enjoy the learning experience here.
