The Director of Community Relations is responsible for developing a network of professional referral sources, generating inquiries and closing sales (last is critical) so community maintains full occupancy. Must have prior experience in sales. Must love working with senior citizens. Must be creative, confident, energetic and love meeting new people; this is not a position for a shy person.  However, since the job is with seniors and their families, must be patient and empathetic.  Position requires community visitation and cold calling to prospective referral sources. Must have own transportation.  Would prefer someone who is into social networking.

Irvine, CA: Hospice Liaison - Silverado Hospice
Supports the hospice service lines in developing and maintaining sales and marketing plans, strategies and public relations opportunities to promote and communicate the Silverado vision and mission statement.  Actively supports the senior living and senior service product lines. Creates opportunities to promote the image of Silverado through events such as Open House, Educational (CEU events), and in-house public relations campaigns.  Monitors the sales and marketing budget.  Develops and maintains the sales and marketing program to attract referrals and inquires to achieve and sustain budgeted occupancy for Hospice and the community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Baccalaureate degree Marketing or related field. Reading, writing and oral communication skills a must. Current driver’s license.

EXPERIENCE:
Three to five years experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Ability to organize and implement sales and marketing program.  Outside sales experience. Knowledge and experience working with people having Alzheimer’s disease and their families highly desirable.  Professional or volunteer related experience with Alzheimer’s service groups helpful.

Grandview Palms Assisted Living in Culver City is looking for a weekend Activity Leader in our Alzheimer's unit. We are a beautiful, five-year-old facility with well designed activity spaces. The Alzheimer's unit currently has 35 residents. 

We are looking for an individual with direct experience running activities with Alzheimer's residents, and a good knowledge of the illness. Candidates must have a natural ability to relate to seniors, and show compassion to both the residents and families.
