Please briefly describe your position and your company:
Upon graduating from the Leonard Davis School with a Bachelor of Science in Gerontology it was clear to me that I should continue forth into the Master of Science in Gerontology accelerated program in order to gain more knowledge and experience at the graduate level. I know that coming out of USC with a Masters degree in gerontology will open more doors and opportunities for me than simply the B.S.G. I look forward to learning more cutting edge research from our top professors and working closely with fellow students and faculty.
Why did you choose to study gerontology at the USC Davis School?
I chose to study at the Davis School because I wanted to major in gerontology and USC is the only school in California which offers gerontology as an undergraduate major.
What advice would you offer to a prospective student interested in studying gerontology at USC?
DO IT! It’s the field of the future…and you can be a part of shaping it! Whether you go into medicine, sociology, business, law, etc., gerontology is there! Taking a course in gerontology, or even several courses will open your eyes and prepare you with a new perspective to the way you view aging and the world around you. Gerontology will prepare you to take on the various issues society will face in the coming years…so GET ON BOARD and become an expert in aging!!!
