Home modification research projects
from NRCSHHM on home modification delivery, home modification
funding, universal design ideas, age in place, access to home
modification programs and services, new tools to better home
modification, and housing frail elders. Published work includes:
A team approach for home modifications, bringing universal design
ideas to the public, the caring home booklet: environmental
coping strategies for Alzheimer's caregivers, guide to assessing
state legislation via the internet, home modification capacity
building, improving the delivery of home modifications, international
perspectives on housing frail elders, meeting the needs of older
persons to age in place, state housing agencies as exemplars
in promoting home modifications, state rehabilitation agencies,
aging with disability, and technology.
