The Gerontology IT/Computing Services provides guidance, resources, and instruction to Gerontology faculty, teaching assistants, research assistants and staff to enhance learning and teaching at the School of Gerontology through the effective use of digital and communications technology. It provides the faculty and the students with the computing resources, hardware, software, and capable staff, at central locations to help them excel in their academic endeavors. We offer a wide variety of software applications and multimedia tools.

The Gerontology Computer User Lab is open to gerontology faculty, students, TAs/RAs and staff directly supporting faculty and researches. The user lab is reserved for teaching gerontology classes and training workshops.

The Computer Lab contains 24 networked multimedia workstations for general use and one instructor’s station. There are 25 Pentium IV computer systems with LCD flat panel color displays. A permanent LCD projector displays the instructor's workstation on a large screen at the front of the computer lab. Word processing, spreadsheets, presentation application, electronic mail, internet applications, statistical data analysis programs, and anti-virus software are available for use in the Lab. The Student Computer User Lab has a networked laser printer to provide printing from every workstation in the lab.
