Doris T. Westcott Endowed Fellowship Fund
in Aging
Starting in the Fall 2004, the Doris T. Westcott Endowed Fellowship
Fund in Aging will perpetually fund one students tuition over
the course of his or her two-year master of science in gerontology
program at the Davis School of Gerontology at the University
of Southern California.
The purpose of the scholarship is two-fold: first, to honor alumna
Doris T. Westcott and her achievements as a USC student, high school
principal, and commander in the Navy Waves; and second, to offer
substantial financial support to students with exceptional academic
ability who want to become leaders in research and service to older
persons.
Students in the Davis School of Gerontology come from many
different backgrounds, across the social, biological and health
sciences. Graduates of the Master of Science program are national
leaders in administration, advocacy, and direct services to older
persons.
