Julia Wysong
Julia Wysong is a doctoral student at the Leonard Davis School of Gerontology with research focus on evaluation of elder abuse interventions. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Literature from the California State University of Northridge in 2010. From 2007 to 2011, Ms. Wysong coordinated the Financial Abuse Specialist Team (FAST) of Ventura County, a multidisciplinary team of legal, medical, and social service professionals focused on resolution of elder and dependent adult financial abuse. As FAST Coordinator, Ms. Wysong led statewide communication among California FAST Coordinators with the goal of resource-sharing and troubleshooting financial abuse resolution barriers. Since 2005, Ms. Wysong has organized and presented public outreach on various topics such as elder abuse, elder financial abuse, multidisciplinary interventions, and reverse mortgages. She currently serves on the board of Grey Law, Inc., a non-profit legal services organization in Ventura County.
