Multidisciplinary Research Training Grant in Gerontology

USC's Gerontology Research Institute offers several multidisciplinary research training opportunities for predoctoral and postdoctoral students. Supported by funds from The National Institute on Aging, these fellowships give promising individuals with backgrounds and interests from diverse disciplines an opportunity to gain specific research skills in gerontology.
Biology, economics, gerontology, gerontology/policy, linguistics, neurobiology, political science, psychology, and sociology are disciplines currently represented in the program.
Research training is carried out primarily within these disciplines, but joint activities contributing to the multidisciplinary approach are also considered. In addition to the research training opportunities provided in this program, trainees are encouraged to take advantage of a variety of courses, seminars, and colloquia offered throughout the academic year.
The Gerontology Research Institute sponsors a Multidisciplinary Research in Aging Colloquium. This series, in which scientists are invited to present their latest research, provides students and trainees with a unique opportunity to be exposed to different views on age-related research.
