Department of Public Safety (DPS) @ the HSC
The HSC Department of Public Safety is a 24 hour operation headed by Captain Aaron Drake, supported by approximately 15 Sworn Officers. There are four Officers and one Sergeant assigned to each patrol shift. They are also 33 Community Service Officers assigned to the various Health Care Operations at HSC. They are responsible for the security at the assigned locations and is responsible for building security, parking lot/structure patrols and patrolling the campus. DPS also has several Bike Patrol Officers that work in the afternoon and late evening shifts. DPS has various Safety and Security programs available for the USC Community.

DPS offers a campus escort service (to/from car/office) that is available after Campus Cruiser has closed, or on an emergency basis.
