USC Child Care Programs

USC Child Care was established in 1977 when a generous gift from Anna Bing Arnold funded the building of a preschool for 60 children. Upon completion of the Anna Bing Arnold Child Care Center at the University Park campus, the university began subsidizing child care operations as part of its employee benefits program. The Health Sciences campus began offering child care in 1991. In 1999, the university also began to provide subsidized child care for full-time USC students. Today, the child care programs serve 199 children from the ages of six weeks to five years. USC Child Care programs are licensed by the state of California and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
