Summary

Acts as an ambassador for the Engemann Student Health Center by providing exceptional concierge service to guests and patients of the facility. Provides guests and patients accurate information and special services to enhance a positive experience.

% Acts as an ambassador for the center by providing concierge service to guests and patients of the facility. Acknowledges and greets all guests and patients visiting the center. Communicates with guests and patients to assess needs. Provides accurate information and special services to enhance a positive experience.


% Provides pamphlets, brochures, and campus maps to guests and patients.


% Gives directions and if necessary escorts visitors within the facility.


% Assists with reserving conference rooms and conference room set-up.


% Anticipates potential problems and seeks resolution in an effective and efficient manner, as needed.


% Responds to guest and patient complaints, conducts research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiates results. Follows through to ensure guest and patient complaints are resolved adequately. Maintains confidentiality of any guest or patient information.


% Composes correspondence, policies, procedures and other materials as needed. Provides administrative support as assigned.


% Communicates with Facilities Management Services to ensure public areas of center provide a welcoming environment, information materials are well-stocked, and remain clean, and stocked.


% Oversees student concierge program. Supervises student workers, as assigned. Recruits, interviews, hires, orients and trains student workers. Evaluates performance and provides feedback. Counsels, disciplines and terminates student workers, as required. Schedules, assigns, coordinates and prioritizes workloads on a daily basis.
Emergency response/recovery:    
In the event of an emergency, the employee holding this position is required to "report to duty" in accordance with the university's emergency operations plan and/or the employee's department's emergency response and/or recovery plans. Familiarity with those plans and regular training to implement those plans is required. During or immediately following an emergency, the employee will be notified to assist in the emergency response efforts, and mobilize other staff members if needed.
