Education
Mr. Schroeder received his BS degree in Mathematics in 1963 from Purdue University and a Masters Degree in Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1966. He received a Certificate in Wireless Communications Systems Engineering from the University of California at Irvine in 2001.
Experience
In addition to his role as a part time faculty member Mr. Schroeder is actively engaged in Systems Engineering management supporting both the Air Force and NASA. Presently he is the manager of Systems Engineering and Integration for the GPS III Space Segment under a contract from the Air Force. He also consults for the NASA Constellation Program in Houston. Previously he was Director of Systems Engineering for the C4ISR Segment of the Future Combat Systems Program. He is frequently a contributor to DoD documents on Systems Engineering.

- Integration of classical Systems Engineering with software design and modeling methodologies
- Application of systems engineering to Systems of Systems
- Cost prediction and management of multi-year programs
