Education
Dr. Yang received her
B. S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute
of Technology in 1991, and her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical
Engineering (Design Division) from Stanford University in 1994
and 2000, respectively, under a National Science Foundation Graduate
Fellowship.
Experience
Dr. Yang was Director of Interaction Design at Reactivity, Inc.,
and has worked at Apple Computer's Advanced Technology Group and
at Lockheed Artificial Intelligence Center, as well as at Immersion
Corporation. Dr. Yang was a postdoctoral instructor in Mechanical
Engineering at the California Institute of Technology, and a lecturer
in design in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. Currently,
she currently serves on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Mechanical Engineering Visiting Committee.
