Education
Dr. Chen received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Zhejiang University (Hangzhou, Zhejian, China) and Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Wuhan, Hubei, China) in 1993 and 1996, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2001. All the degrees are in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
Dr. Chen worked for five years as a Senior Research and Development Engineer in 3D Systems, Inc. in Valencia, California (2001~2006). He also worked for a year and a half as a lecturer in the School of Mechanical Engineering and a research scientist in the Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Center at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (1996~1997).
