RE:  Elaine Chew's Presentation at Amherst

Dear Jim:

I look forward to seeing you at INFORMS in Seattle soon!

One of your colleagues, Prof. Elaine Chew, visited us last Friday and spoke at our Fall 2007 INFORMS Speaker Series. Her husband Alex Francois also trekked out from Cambridge and I think that they enjoyed Amherst and the surrounding area very much. She gave a talk that was very much appreciated by all those in the audience and there were quite a few faculty members from CS and students present as well as well as folks from the Isenberg School and the School of Engineering.

It was especially fun to compare notes with her regarding the Radcliffe Institute Fellowship experience.

Elaine's presentation abstract can be found at: http://supernet.som.umass.edu/informs/10_19_07new.htm

Some photos from her presentation and visit can be found at: http://student.som.umass.edu/informs/g/g71.htm
More info about our seminar series can be found on my center page below, or at: http://supernet.som.umass.edu/informs/speakernew.html

I hope that all is well with you!

With best wishes,

Anna
