Macintosh System Requirements

The RealPlayer 5.0 is designed to work on the Macintosh PowerPC. Macintosh 68040 users should download RealAudio Player 3.0. The following table explains which hardware is required for specific Macintosh machines.

Connection Speed Depends on the Encoding Algorithm, mimimum speed is 14.4 Kbps. It is recommended that you have at least a 28.8 Kbps connection.
TCP/IP Apple's Open Transport Recommended

*28.8 modem users can access these clips with Buffered Play (automatically activated when clip speed is higher than connection speed). There will be a longer wait time before the clip will start playing.
