Foreign Relations explores, through metaphor, the hegemony of relationships, whether between adults and children, between nations, or between human beings and their animal counterparts.
In searching for ways to more fully develop her ideas Hall expanded her practice from its original printmaking base to encompass a variety of media, including installation, performance, and video. Her recent works are informed by thoughts on the relationship of individuality to mass culture, and are particularly concerned with the primordial essence of human existence and its place in, or distance from, the enveloping technological ageš. A Southern California artist for many years, she is currently completing her MFA at California State University, Fullerton.
