Hwang describes her animations as beingå about the dream-like absurdity of lifeπ Created as a multi-media CD-Rom this project combines diverse modes of visual narrative - including hand drawn, cut-out and model animation, kinetic sculpture, digital video, and sequences of hand-painted stills to relate cross-referencing stories, including: Breakfast in Despair, Sheπs Not Dead, Dream of Poverty, and the eponymous Missing Corpse.

Hwang obtained a BFA from Ewha Womenπs University in Korea, and is currently studying in the Computer Arts graduate program at the School of Visual Arts, New York. Her animations have been shown at exhibitions and festivals in the United States and Japan, and recently received the Kitacubo Award at the Japanese Digital Animation Festival.
