Drawing parallels with the pattern of contemporary foreign investment in the Third World, The Terms of War tells the story of the ambitions of British ex-patriate Nicholas Loney to transform the Phillipines into a sugar growing mecca. The islands of Negros and Panay, with their depressed economies and 100-year history of poverty and starvation stand as a lasting testimony to Loneyıs success.
A programmer, artist and writer Juan is a recent graduate of New York Universityıs Interactive Telecommunications Program who currently teaches Interactive Media at Hunter College, NYC. His multi media projects and documentary films have received a number of awards, including a Silver in ID Magazineıs Multimedia Annual, and he has recently been named on three patents.
