In Trapeze slow-motion sequences of acrobats suspend the action and drama of their gravity-defying performance and create a new mesmeric spectacle in which suspension of action is a primary character. An elegant unfolding of movement de-familiarizes the experience of quotidian observation and invites the viewer to linger, not on the precisely timed connections of one body to another, but on the spaces between the aerialists as they are caught in an extended performance.
