MAJ FRANCISCO CACERES

UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS

Originally from Sacramento California, in July 1991, Major Caceres enlisted as an Anti-Tank Assaultman.  He completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego in October 1991.  He was selected for assignment to the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP) and attended the University of Washington in Seatle, WA earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.  He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in June 1999.  After his initial assignments, he earned a Masters of Science degree in Information Technology Management from the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS).  His follow on assignment was as the Information Management Officer at the MAGTF Staff Training Program in Quantico, VA.  Upon completion of his payback tour, he reported to 8th Communications Battalion in Camp Lejeune, NC where he deployed to Al Asad Air Base, Al Anbar Province Iraq with II MEF (FWD) as the G-6 Plans Officer.  After the 12-month deployment, he was assigned as the Alpha Company Commander.  Major Caceres reported to the NROTC Los Angeles Consortium as the Marine Officer Instructor in July, 2010.
