USC Monogram Polish Music Center Books

CATALOG OF THE COLLECTION

The Polish Music Center's Catalog is now located on the server of USC Thornton School of Music. Only a portion of our collection is listed in HOMER (USC's main catalog) and in OCLC. You may browse various parts of PMC Catalog on USC web site. None of the items listed are available for sale, though we do provide research copies of rare and public domain material in our collection.

The catalog of our holdings, including lists of books, scores, and recordings is available through the links listed above. The catalog does not include listings for the Walter Martin Song Collection (not yet added to the scores catalog online) nor the Slominski Collection of organ and choral music (not catalogued yet).

Our older links include a short list of List of Books in English and partial lists of the Repertoire of music for various instruments and ensembles. New categories are added gradually.

To find out about publishers of various type of material visit our Directory of Publishers. The Discography site was last updated in 1997 and needs to be revised and enlarged, but could be a good starting point for older recordings so we did not remove it from the site.

Finally, a new site about PMC Manuscripts contains information about the history of the manuscript collection and the description of the manuscripts in our holdings illustrated with photographs. The listing is incomplete yet and new names are added gradually. If you want to know more about the manuscripts donated to the center in 2000 by over 30 composers, visit Polish Music Newsletters for the months September, October, and November 2000.

The manuscripts are temporarily on deposit at the Department of Special Collectons of the USC Library.
