program, conducts the USC Symphony
The master of music program in conducting provides selected students the opportunity for continuous experience conducting an orchestra, specifically with the USC Symphony and student soloists in a public concert. Throughout the year students conduct the school's various ensembles, performing works from the classical to the most contemporary.

Audition

Selected applicants will be invited to present a live audition with the university orchestra. Such applicants will be contacted to determine repertoire.

Prerequisite-applicants must hold a bachelor's degree with a music major and have at least one year of experience conducting an orchestra. Class instruction in both choral and orchestral conducting is required.
