Conducting
The master of music program in conducting provides selected students the opportunity for continuous experience conducting an orchestra, specifically with the USC Symphony and student soloists in a public concert. Throughout the year students conduct the school's various ensembles, performing works from the classical to the most contemporary.

Audition
Selected applicants will be invited to present a live audition with the university orchestra. Such applicants will be contacted to determine repertoire.Prerequisite-applicants must hold a bachelor's degree with a music major and have at least one year of experience conducting an orchestra. Class instruction in both choral and orchestral conducting is required.
