The above prices are for rentals only and include a charge for the tassel, which may be removed from the cap and retained as a souvenir. If you would like to purchase your regalia, please visit the USC Bookstore’s webpage. No regalia orders will be taken by mail. Honor Cords Undergraduates who have earned a minimum 3.5 university GPA at the start of the spring 2008 semester are eligible to wear the official university honor cords at Commencement. Many schools provide these cords free of charge. If your school does not provide the cords, they may be purchased at the bookstore for $8.95 when regalia is rented. Note: Eligibility to wear the honor
cords does not guarantee or preclude designation of academic honors (cum
laude, etc.) on your diploma/record, which is awarded only after all
final grades are tabulated after Commencement. Students must be Fall
2007 graduates or scheduled to graduate in Spring or Summer of 2008.
Students scheduled to graduate in Fall 2009 are not eligible to wear
honor cords. Regalia Returns Caps, Gowns and Hoods are to be returned to the collection station outside the University Bookstore by 5:00 p.m. on May 16. If your satellite ceremony takes place at a later time, a representative of the cap and gown company will be present at your ceremony to pick up the gowns.
