It began in 1978 with a trip down the Rhine. That first USC Trojan Travel has proliferated into a rolling itinerary of nearly 40 adventures a year.

USC TROJAN TRAVEL is preparing for its 25th anniversary (in 2003) with a full schedule of 2002 trips, according to Judith Blumenthal, who heads the USC Alumni Association. From Savannah to savannah, Trojans this year can steam through Civil War ports and safari across East Africa’s Serengeti grasslands.
“We're particularly proud of our trips that feature USC faculty members,” she says, mentioning a planned cruise down the Rhine, Maine and Danube Rivers with James Ragan, internationally known poet and director of USC’s
Professional Writing Program; a European grand tour with Albert Sonnenfeld, professor of French and Italian and a recognized food and wine connoisseur; and a visit to Mandarin China accompanied by George Totten III, professor emeritus of political science and an expert in classical Chinese philosophies.

TWO popular features of the program in the last few years have been the Alumni College Abroad series, low-cost trips to a variety of locations that feature educational programs; and family trips, which include programming and supervision for kids.
In addition, Trojan Travel offers cruises and rail trips to exotic ports, and one or more private jet trips for those who are in search of a truly out-of-the-ordinary travel experience.
Open to alumni, their families, parents of students and friends of the university, USC Trojan Travel offers an opportunity to travel the world in the company of USC alumni and faculty.
