Traveling with USC Professors, Trojan Style

USC professor Leo Braudy, the Leo S. Bing Professor of English, and his wife, painter Dorothy Braudy, joined a group of USC alumni and friends this summer on the Trojan Travel adventure “Treasures of the Seine,” a land and cruise trip through the heart of Normandy. “It was a great teaching experience for me,” said Leo Braudy, “not only because we were actually in places I was talking about, but especially because of the responsiveness and curiosity of the people on the tour. History could come alive when we saw Monet’s Giverny one day, Versailles the next, and discussed French and English gardens in between.” Dorothy Braudy is at the center of the photo, standing behind the Trojan Travel banner; Leo Braudy is behind her to the right. Another USC faculty member, history professor Elinor Accampo, traveled with the trip “Voyage of the Goddess” on the French and Italian Riviera, which included a private guided tour of the Vatican museums and the Sistine Chapel.
