I Spy
While we’d like to award shoe-phones to each of the 25 highly trained sleuths who sent in responses to our “I Spy” Last Word contest, our government has slashed spending in that department. In lieu, we offer a presidential commendation and, more importantly, gift certificates from Borders Books and Music to the following winners: Marie E. Burgoyne ’49, M.S. ’57, Ed.D. ’68, Kathleen Lonsdale M.A. ’96, John S. Jensen ’75, Shani L. Fuller-Skiles ’91 and the very knowledgeable Murray C. Zimmerman M.D. ’44.
Apparently, however, some of our information proved under scrutiny to be incorrect. We have updated Stephen Maturin’s dossier to show that he plays the cello, not the flute. And Richard Hannay’s American co-worker was John Blenkiron, not Blinkeron. The correct answers – author first, then fictional agent – are listed below.
