This is contemporary music making at its very best: un-self-conscious, freewheeling and yet deeply thoughtful.”—Irish Times

Don’t miss this special concert by The Gloaming as they kick off their 2015 tour! The Irish-music supergroup’s 2014 self-titled debut album thrilled critics and audiences alike, landing on “best of the year” lists around the world. Featuring five extraordinary artists from Ireland and the United States—Iarla Ó Lionáird, Martin Hayes, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, Dennis Cahill, and Thomas Bartlett a.k.a. Doveman—The Gloaming reinvigorates ancient musical traditions with thoroughly modern innovation. The result is an exquisite blend of musical styles that is at once haunting, beautiful, and rousing.

Prior to the performance, Joanna Demers, associate professor in the USC Thornton School of Music, will host a pre-show conversation with Martin Hayes, who has been called “one of the best fiddlers on the planet” (NPR).

Check out this video of The Gloaming performing to a packed house in London's Royal Albert Hall here and at Ireland's Other Voices music festival here.
