| Ocoña The other end of the bad road. The epicenter of the earthquake was very close to Ocoña. Runup measured in the mouth of the Ocoña river was less than 3 m. The pictures above show the condition of the Pan-American Highway on our return trip to Lima on the last day. We had previously driven this same stretch of highway southbound at night! The photo on the right is the entire ITST waiting for the road to open. |
