Hereke

8/24/99, 1:00 PM: The town of Hereke had a small harbor and a municipal pier. The local police office reported that the wave came up a small inlet and flooded over the parking area infront of the police station to a depth of 50 cm. In the small harbor of Hereke (which is almost round) there was a significant slope failure on the east side of the harbor. It was approximately 60 m long by 12 m wide. Along that entire length, a 1 m by 30 cm concrete side walk also fell into the harbor.
