Yarimca

8/23/99, 11:41 AM: This was the first location surveyed by the team. There were clear debris marks on the grass behind the wharf and on the patio of the restaurant. Seaweed was found wedged in plastic chairs and hanging from railings. There were mussel shells and sea stars scattered about the grass. Eyewitnesses reported a leading depression wave. Two points were surveyed, the restaurant, 2.66 m, and the wharf, 1.34 m.

From here we boarded a boat and motored across the bay to Halidere

A small boat raised onto the wharf. Reportedly by wave activity. On the right, the restaurant wall that was reportedly overtopped.
