The Global Library of Women’s Medicine (GLOWM) is an online, freely available resource that offers a wide range of detailed clinical information across the field of women’s health. Provided by Sapiens Global Library, an associated company of Sapiens Publishing, the website was developed by Sapiens at its own expense as a contribution to women’s medicine. GLOWM is derived from the well-known, 6-volume encyclopedic textbook, Gynecology & Obstetrics, that was first published in 1934 and has been edited for the last 30 years by John J. Sciarra. Consisting of close to 500 peer-reviewed chapters by over 650 expert contributors, the site is regularly updated to reflect new developments and is designed for health professionals. It is hoped that GLOWM is particularly beneficial to those for whom access to the latest textbooks and references is difficult.
