Reaxys is a web-based search and retrieval system for chemical compounds, bibliographic data and chemical reactions. Combined data from three sources: The Beilstein Database, The Gmelin Database, and The Patent Chemistry Database.
Reaxys has historical coverage dating back to 1771. Journals covered by Reaxys are carefully selected for their importance and significance for certain areas of chemistry. Reaxys is not and does not aim to be a bibliographic database; rather it provides a deep dive into the relevant chemical information – chemical reactions, structures, citations and a vast array of property data. Reaxys covers 400 journals.
Patents in Reaxys are based on the following International Patent Classes [IPC]:
C07 Organic Chemistry
A61K Drugs and secondary IPC C07 [Medicinal, Dental, Cosmetic Preparations]
C09B Dyes
English language patent publications from the above IPC classes are excerpted from the following Patent offices – PCT (WIPO), European (EPO) and USPTO.
