This web site is the electronic data supplement for the Gene Map paper (Deloukas, P., et al., Science 282, 744-746, 1998). Includes the locations, within the text, of more than 30,000 genes. The Human Genome Project (HGP) is 1) constructing detailed genetic and physical maps of the human genome, 2) determining the complete nucleotide sequence of human DNA, 3) localizing the estimated 50,000-100,000 genes within the human genome.
