The mission of CulturedMed is to facilitate the provision of culturally competent healthcare to refugees and immigrants worldwide. At the beginning of 2007, the number of “people of concern” to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was a record 32.9 million. Of these the U.S. accepted 41,300 in 2006.
