Physiology publishes brief review articles on major physiological developments. The peer-reviewed articles are written in a style that is easily comprehended by nonexperts, and the design of the figures is such that they can be used for teaching. In addition, Physiology occasionally publishes a Trendsetters section, which highlights major recent advances in physiology. Physiology is published jointly by The American Physiological Society and the International Union of Physiological Sciences.
