American Quarterly

American Quarterly applies wide-ranging, interdisciplinary perspectives to the study of American culture from its origins to the present. The journal publishes retrospectives, exhibition reviews, and book reviews and offers specialists and non-specialists alike a forum for addressing issues and themes of common intellectual concern that expand the understanding of American studies. Founded in 1949, American Quarterly is the official publication of the American Studies Association.
