ChildhoodChildhood is a major interdisciplinary forum for child research that spans divisions between geographical regions, disciplines, social and cultural contexts, and applied and basic research. While children have been widely studied in the context of many different disciplines, there is an acknowledged and growing need for new forms of international and cross-disciplinary research committed to increasing our understanding of children and childhood. Childhood answers this need by exploring the changing nature of childhood in diverse regions and social contexts and by illuminating the complex, globally articulated risks and possibilities that affect children today.
