Current SociologyAn official journal of the International Sociological Association since 1952, Current Sociology is one of the oldest and most widely cited sociology journals in the world, publishing long "trend reports" in all areas of sociology -- theories, methods, concepts, substantive research, and national/regional developments. These Trend Reports have covered topics of growing importance within the discipline, such as the sociology of law, economic sociology, sociology of popular culture, sociology of time, and youth and society. The aim has been to analyze ongoing controversies and new tendencies, sketch desirable lines of future work, and provide extensive bibliographies.
