Focuses on the social and structural study of gender as a basic principle of the social order and as a primary social category. Each issue contains articles framed by a theoretical perspective or policy issue that advances critical thinking, research reports presenting data of particular interest based upon sound and logical research design and methodology, and book reviews summarizing and evaluating recent publications.
