Produced by the German History Society, this journal aims to present the findings of recent research on the history of the German-speaking world and to foster the exchange of views and contacts among scholars of German history. The journal is renowned for its breadth of coverage. In addition to publishing a wide range of scholarly articles, encompassing all periods of German history and all German-speaking areas and including political, economic, social and cultural history, it also offers an extensive book-review section and review articles, shorter research and conference reports, exhibition reviews, dissertation abstracts and other items of topical interest to its readers.
