Studies in Conflict and TerrorismMany of the conflicts of the 1990s involve ethnic or religious differences, others are based on social or historical issues, and still others involve plain criminal acts. Ethnic and religious conflicts in particular are likely to increase in number, while terrorism has recently come into greater prominence in the U.S. The aim of Studies in Conflict and Terrorism is to cast light on all of these conflicts, including their motivations and forms, in different parts of the world. The journal publishes the best theoretical and empirical studies that contribute both to a better understanding of the causes of conflicts as well as to the strategies and tactics of the groups conducting them. The goal is that this understanding will help policymakers to deal with conflicts more effectively to promote peaceful, orderly socioeconomic improvements and world peace.
