The history of modern physics and allied fields including astronomy, geophysics, and optics are surveyed on this Web site. The Exhibit Hall contains the discovery of the electron, Albert Einstein, Werner Heisenberg, Marie Curie and radioactivity, Sakharov and nuclear weapons, and others. Thousands of photographs of American physicists and astronomers of the twentieth century (and some other scientists) are available in the searchable Emilio Segre Visual Archives.
