Regional Studies is a leading international journal at the forefront of original multi-disciplinary research, policy analysis and debate about urban and regional development. The journal aims to be pluralistic, multi/interdisciplinary, international in character, scholarly and practically relevant publishing original research that: is theoretically - informed and lies at the forefront of conceptual and theoretical debate; is comparative or rooted in different national, disciplinary and interdisciplinary research traditions; stimulating mutual understanding between, and mutual enrichment of, these traditions; documents traditional contemporary processes of regional economic and political restructuring and their impact on the lives of men and women and the communities in which they live and work; and, contains innovative policy analysis capable of rising to the contemporary challenges facing policy makers.
