Late Imperial ChinaLate Imperial China is the principal scholarly journal for historians of China who specialize in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The journal presents methodologically innovative work not only in political and intellectual history, but in social, economic, cultural, and gender history and historical demography. New work by historians in Europe, Japan, Taiwan, and the People's Republic of China is often featured. Although published almost entirely in English, each article has a glossary in Chinese.
