International Journal for Numerical Methods in EngineeringThe International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering is a periodical which publishes refereed contributions describing significant developments in numerical methods and their application to the solution of practical engineering problems. The Journal encourages the contribution of original developments of numerical methods, such as the finite element and boundary integral methods, which are capable of solving a wide class of problems. A method developed to solve problems in structural mechanics may demonstrate value in the solution of problems of fluid flow, and vice versa. Numerical procedures (representing, for example, new approaches to the solution of algebraic equations) are of interest to the readership of the Journal when they have a defined role in engineering applications. The same can be said of numerical methods for the modelling and interpretation of engineering analyses, such as the steps customarily associated with computer aided design and computer graphics.
