"Every month, this fundamental research journal investigates the chemistry involved in the preparation, processing and analysis of materials such as inorganic and organic solids, ceramics, polymers, liquid crystals, and composites. Topics span the synthesis and investigation of molecular and nonmolecular solid state materials, including the new high-temperature superconductors; investigations of polymeric solids and thin films and their potential applications as structural, optical, or electronic materials; chemical vapor disposition; chemical sensors; and biomaterials.
