Incunabula Short Title Catalog (ISTC)

Compiled by the British Library, the ISTC is a comprehensive database of material printed up to the year 1500; it contains 28,000 detailed records for incunable holdings which have come from nearly three thousand libraries worldwide. In addition to these records, the database includes 10,000 key images (relating to 2,000 of the records). The images are of high quality, and can be printed or exported into other applications. Images and data are fully indexed and can be searched by Author, Title, Language, Place of Publication, and through sections of Notes for printing history, authors, and texts.
